About the Train

The Deccan Odyssey is a luxury train operated by the Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation Ltd and Indian Railways. It offers two itineraries. The standard itinerary travels along the Konkan coast, beginning in Mumbai and stopping in Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg, Goa, Pune, Nasik, Aurangabad, and Ajanta and Ellora before returning to Mumbai. This itinerary leaves from Mumbai every Wednesday for its seven night tour. The Deccan Odyssey operates from September to April.

The Deccan Odyssey-Indian Maharaja journey also leaves from Delhi. You may journey from Mumbai to Delhi or from Delhi to Mumbai on alternating weeks. The Indian Maharaja is a seven night journey. It operates from late September through November. In 2012, it will operate from late January through mid April. The Indian Maharaja Itinerary takes guests from Delhi to Mumbai, with stops in Agra, Jaipur, Sawai Madhopur, Udaipur and Aurangabad.
