The season starts with the Teej Festival, a traditional fair where Hindu women perform merit making rituals to promote marital bliss, this August. The Singapore Government plans to share city planning and development expertise with the port city of Kochi to build a clean and sustainable environment for business and residents.

A BCA delegation explored areas of possible cooperation during a 2 day visit in April. Sources told the Khaleej Times that the officials from Singapore expressed interest in the development of IT parks, business incubation hubs, transportation facilities, and a global finance resource center.

The delegation along with city and state government officials and members of the private sector believe these projects will help Kochi develop into city of international standards of business and infrastructure while creating strong relationships between businesses in Singapore and Kochi.
