Easy Tours Of India has loosely classified different parts of India as Northern and Southern India. This has been done solely for cataloguing simplicity, and will not coincide with what many Indians deem to be Northern and Southern India. We offer our deepest apologies to anyone who is offended; It is not our intention to do anything like that.

Northern India bore the brunt of countless invasions over thousands of years, as well as being the land where many of these invaders chose to settle and make their home. It's architecture, culture, and people reflect the absorption of all these influences. It is home to the great Himalayas and other magnificent mountain ranges, the fabled deserts of Rajasthan, and includes the vast fertile plains of Central and Eastern India. The Northern parts of the country have seen the most change over the eons, and even today, tend to absorb and accept changes in beliefs and ideas a little easier than most of what we have termed as Southern (with the striking exception of Mumbai) India.

Srinagar and the surrounding areas of Kashmir: Cradled in the Himalayas, the picturesque valley of Srinagar and its spectacular surroundings and colorful inhabitants are an experience we would love to share with you. However, in light of the ongoing potential for violence in Kashmir (although it has declined significantly in the last few years), we regretfully refrain from offering any Tours to the areas affected by this tragedy. We can arrange a visit if asked to do so in Build Your Own Tour.

We offer a delightful alternative in a visit to Ladakh. The awe inspiring beauty of this high altitude region, though different from the lush valleys of Srinagar, has a charm not found anywhere else on the planet except for Tibet, where it is tragically changing very fast, and will soon be lost forever.
