All our Tours include the highest level of service in the travel industry. The main difference is in the lodging. There are smaller differences in vehicles used, as well as a small number of inclusions. Please CLICK HERE for detailed descriptions of the Tour Levels.
It is not the intention of this page to attempt to describe or explain Yoga. It is beyond the scope of this website, and any literature that we can print, to even begin to explore this ancient science and its many facets. India is its birthplace, and the most learned teachers and practitioners are found in India.
Yoga Tours can be facilitated for you as individuals or for your group as a retreat. Retreats can be arranged so that your instructor conducts daily sessions while you are enjoying the cultural exploration part of your tour of India.
We do not offer budget Yoga Tours. The two standard Yoga Tours we offer here are designed to give you a taste of some of India’s most significant attractions along with an immersive experience at either one of two of India’s finest luxury yoga centers.
The North India Yoga Tour lets you practice Yoga at one of the world’s finest luxury spas and the South India Yoga Tour lets you practice and learn Yoga at one of the world’s purest Yoga Ashrams. They both include extensive Ayurvedic therapy & meditation opportunities and can be combined together to get to experience the best of both worlds.
We can design Yoga Tours that include other great Ashrams depending on your preferences. We can also design Yoga Tours that have less or more of the major attractions of India. Indian Yoga Tours can be combined with stopovers at Dubai, Nepal, Bhutan, Tibet, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos.
If you are interested in getting a yoga session or two while you're in India, we recommend using the facilities and instructor that most luxury hotels provide – most of them have a scheduled time that is available on request. For those times that this is not the case, we can assist you in planning and coordinating things as long as you let us know before arriving in India.
We can offer you the opportunity to learn from masters whose knowledge and skills are the fruit of many thousands of years of experience that have been passed from one generation to another.
If you are looking to stay at a very good Ashram and learn, please bear in mind that the better Ashrams and teachers are not interested in spending time with a pupil unless the pupil intends to complete the pre-arranged course that they signed up for. This is usually a minimum of two weeks to a month, depending on the Ashram. Commitment and discipline are demanded by the best Ashrams.
These visits usually include all meals if you chose an Ashram as your lodging. Alcohol (and other intoxicants) and tobacco are prohibited at these Ashrams, and a vegetarian diet is the only available choice.
Yoga Tour participants frequently ask us to arrange visits that include sporting activities such as trekking, white water rafting, climbing, and fishing. We can design a visit to include the best of everything that you would like.
We make Yoga in India easy by combining knowledge of the needs of western visitors with the realities of Yoga practice in India. We make Yoga in India easy as we have the ability to arrange all aspects of your visit to India, starting from the United States, and going as far as giving you the option of combining any other pursuits that you may have in mind.
