Detailed Itinerary - 10 Day Vacation

Day 1: Arrive at Delhi (most flights arrive either in the evening or at night). Our services begin here. You are greeted at the airport by our travel facilitator and then ushered to a chauffeur driven vehicle. You are then driven to your hotel where you are assisted with your check in. Our travel facilitator hands over travel documents such as your air tickets and hotel vouchers to you.

Scholars have traced Delhi's roots as a city to as far back as 1000 BC. Today, the city is divided into two sections, simply called Old Delhi and New Delhi. Currently, the metropolis has an approximate population of about sixteen million inhabitants. There has been a tremendous increase in the living standards of the average 'Delhite' in the past couple of decades, and every conceivable western luxury is easily available here. Luxury hotels, restaurants, and boutique stores abound, and emporiums offer handicrafts and other treasures from all corners of the nation.

There is amazing art and architecture all over Delhi; from the awe inspiring 16th century Mosques, palaces, forts, & other monuments of  the Moghul Empire, to the magnificence of countless other buildings and structures. These can range from structures many thousands of years old, to the numerous impressive bureaucratic buildings constructed during the "British Raj". Just a few examples are Moghul achievements like the massive Red Fort (and the city inside it) and the towering Qutab Minar; classic British era structures India Gate and Rashtrapathi Bhawan; modern edifices like the magnificent Bahai Temple; as well as numerous gardens designed and laid out many centuries ago.

New Delhi is the capital of India and the home of the largest bureaucracy in the democratic world. It is also the nations primary center for fine arts and other cultural endeavors. Architecturally and socially, the city is a diverse mosaic, woven with the tapestries of the cultures that have ruled and/or inhabited Northern India over the last eight centuries.

Day 4: Delhi – Agra. Board the early morning (6 am) Express train - two hour journey - to Agra.

Because it is the city of the incomparable Taj Mahal, Agra's many other historical and architectural monuments get far less attention than they deserve. There are magnificent palaces, forts, mausoleums, as well as various other similar structures. Spectacular historical reminders flourish all over this area, and you can choose how many of them you want to visit.

Visit four hundred and forty year old massive sandstone Agra Fort and it's many monuments; Jehangir Mahal, Diwan-i-Am, Diwan-i-Khas, among others. Near there, tour the Itmad-Ud-Daulah and Agra's Jama Masjid. Just outside Agra, Fatehpur Sikri is a remarkably well preserved ghost city from the same time in history.

Agra is famous for its marble art & manufacturing of the same.

Day 5: Agra – Ranthambore. Check out of your hotel and proceed on the drive to Bharatpur to board the Express train for Ranthambore – a two and a half hour journey to Ranthambore. Arrive at Ranthambore in the evening and check in to your resort.

Covering an area of 410 sq. km, Ranthambore runs along the eastern spur of the Aravali mountain range until it meets with the Vindhya ranges. Ranthambore used to be the private hunting ground for the Royal family of Jaipur. In 1972 it was declared a Sanctuary and was brought under the Project Tiger Conservation platform.

Dry deciduous forest covers open valleys with lush vegetation around the lakes in this park, and there are open grasslands on the higher slopes. This varied flora supports a large number of animals including a variety of deer, the sloth bear, the shy caracal, leopards and of course, the tiger.

Day 6: Ranthambore. You are at leisure on this day. The only services provided by ETI are hotel room (including all three meals for Luxury & Deluxe Levels only).

ETI can provide various services upon request, such as chauffeur driven vehicles, guides, escorted sightseeing and recommendations / reservations for dining and entertainment.

Day 7: Ranthambore – Jaipur. Check out of your hotel and proceed on the drive to Jaipur. Arrive at Jaipur and check in to your hotel.

Rajput culture considers pink to be the color of hospitality; hence the pink walls of  the Old City in Jaipur. Constructed in the early 18th century, Rajasthan's capital has broad and open streets and is very well laid out. Maharaja Jai Singh II, after whom it is named, was a great astronomer who also had Jaipur's Jantar Mantar designed and constructed. The king and his architect built Jaipur using ancient Hindu principles of civic planning and design, and created a city full of magical color and beauty.

A visit to Jaipur should be a must for every visitor to India; the multi hued garments and jewelry of the locals, the profusion of camels in everyday traffic, and the play of the sun's rays on the brightly colored walls of the inner city all combine to create an atmosphere unique to this city. Magnificent palaces, the seven city gates, forts, and other monuments sit unchanged amidst the bustle of a busy metropolis. Just outside Jaipur, the Royal Cenotaphs provide for an interesting visit.

Astonishing in it's simple ingenuity, the Jantar Mantar (Jaipur Observatory-built 1728) is a must see for anyone with an interest in astronomy. Maharaja Jai Singh was a great conqueror and an equally adept astronomer. The observatory he had designed and built is a marvel that, even today, intrigues and fascinates visitors to Jaipur.

Jaipur is famous for its carpets, jewelry, & handicrafts.

April 2014
We are back and recovered from jet lag and finally able to reflect on what was a truly great trip and wonderful experience. The trip was well thought out and provided multiple highlights. Arpita did a great job and called several times to check our progress.  Raju, our driver from Delhi thru Jaipur, is a warm and good person. The hotels were exceptional and the service was at a very high level. Thank you for letting the hotels know that it was Robin’s birthday. It made the trip very special for her. Thank you again and please make sure that all involved, in making our trip a success, understand that we are thankful and will be referring Easy Tours to our friends

It was a dream come true! I really enjoyed the tour, the people I met, the incredible things I saw and the wonderful well mannered and caring people from India. I have traveled extensively, I consider myself a real gobble trotter, I have participated in a lot of tour company groups but nothing like Easy Tours of India!
I arrived sick, really sick, the medications I brought with me didn't work, I called two doctors at two different hotels, they sure made the difference! They changed my antibiotics, gave me 5 more medications including an anti-allergic one and made me feel better enough, that with some effort on my part, I was able to enjoy and finish the tour.
Ali our guide was sure a gentleman... WOW! he has so much patience he could be a teacher! the gentleman driver was so pleasant and caring, especially when he noticed I was feeling so bad.
I am already planning to go back to visit South India and this time I do not plan to be sick at all.
I love India!
Specially the hotel in MUMBAI, they were the best, they took care of me really well, gave me an upgrade of a beautiful room, let me check out at 8pm and gave me free internet access. They were so and so sweet caring and nice I felt my heart broken when I said goodbye...
Chandni always called concerned about my health, thanks CHANDNI!
